About Us
This Association is a non-profit charitable organization funded mainly by the Province of Manitoba and supported by individual and business donations, bequests, fundraising activities and donated volunteer.
In 1963 a group of Neepawa communitymembers established the first rural association for persons with development disabilities in Manitoba.

In the beginning the Association served an area of central Manitoba between Portage, Brandon, Birtle and Dauphin. This area was about 400 square miles that included the Touchwood Hills.

The Association took the name Touchwood from these hills and along with the park like block of land that was acquired in the north end of Neepawa the name Touchwood Park was adopted.

Today Touchwood Park continues to operate under the direction of a community based elected volunteer board.

Touchwood Park provides employment for 60 staff members from Neepawa and surroundingarea. Touchwood Park supports 32 people inresidential homes, with another 19 people residing independently in the community and 52 people who attend the Day Service Program.
